Azienda Agricola

The farmhouse Vecchia Masseria has 56 hectares of land and is located in Contrada Cutuminello  inside the territory of Caltagirone. It is 500 mt high above the sea level and lies in the middle of an eucaliptus wood.

Our production is esclusively biological and covers olive oil from Tonda Iblea olive, Nocellara etnea olive  and Nocellara del Belice olive, walnuts, purple atichokes, chesnuts, Tarocco oranges, prickly pears, almonds, pomegranates, wheat and a mixed vegetables garden.

The guest can purchase the Vecchia Masseria biologial goods but also topica sicilian goods in our ”Bottega Andrea” (Andrea’s shop) to bring home a touch of real Sicily.
Fruits and vegetables are our own as well as many products you will find a breakfast and at the restaurant.

At 18 km from the Mediterean sea, where the Libeccio wind strongly blows, our olives show their fullness , their goodness and their shine.

In the Vecchia Masseria olive grove, there are 3 three thousands olives made of 3 variety of them: Nocellara etnea, Nocellara del Belice and tonda iblea.The olive trees design like an arasbesque around the eucaliptus wood where the land is eternally virgin, clayey and sandy.

In the line of an ultra decenal tradition, “the Tramae” of 3 generation of the Golino family supervise, bottle and grow.

In this way, in 22 hectares, where the untouched land doesn’ t have a start and an end, the olive oil rises.

Biological, fragrant, full and harmonious are its main characteristics.
